We had a great afternoon working in the gardens. Warm sun and moist soil perfect for weeding. Dad picked our first lettuces for dinner.

cooking classes
Dad and I received as a Christmas gift a class of our choice at the Inn at Baldwin Creek -- Mary's Restaurant from the Lands. The menu was Mussels Parisienne, Sauteed Fennel with Almonds, Raisins, and Saffron, Duck Two Ways, Salad Lyonnaise, Pickled Beets and Chocolate Glazed Chocolate Tart. We had a great time. Very inspiring. I am going back for another class at the end of May. Chef Doug Mack was a great instructor. I can't remember the name of the sous chef but she and dad had fun cooking the mussels.

Christmas in Maine
I really wish that I had taken more pictures of Christmas in Maine. I do have 3 and two of them include Gramma. She had a great time. Her gift made her feel really special. Everyone was singing to her. Wished that I had recorded that time. With these videos I have caught up and will now try to update more often.
update
okay, now let's see if I can get all the skiing pictures attached and some Christmas photos that I had thought that I had lost. Then maybe I can get better at updating in a timely fashion.

Skiing a Saddleback
Here's the beginning of the week at Saddleback. Tuesday -- the snow was great but the wind at the top of the mountain was bitter. We skiied the lower mountain and had a great time. Wednesday was the day!!! Sun and great snow!!
